MEASURING

Choose the desired drop/length.  Drop measurement is tip to tip. Each pattern is available in various drop/lengths. This example is Victoria:

   12" Drop         16" Drop         22" Drop

Measure the rod WIDTH or the window WIDTH where the lace will hang.

Ring lace is purchased by the foot (3 feet minimum) to fit the width.
Recommended fullness is 1.5 times this measurement.
You may prefer more fullness.
Multiply your window width measurement by 1.5, then divide by 12.
Round up to the next foot.

RODS

Recommended curtain rod diameter is 7/16, 9/16, or 13/16.

Sash Rods, Cafe Rods, Spring Tension Rods, or Curtain Rods with a return will work.

Oval Spring Tension Rod

Round Spring Tension Rod

Standard Rod with Returns

There are some decorator rods with these diameters.

CUTTING RING LACE

The ring lace will be cut with an even number of rings. This is necessary so the cut edge will turn towards the back on each side.

With gentle care, the cut edges will not fray. You can cut your macrame with sharp scissors.  Just make sure there are an even number of rings on each piece.

CARING FOR RING LACE

Machine wash warm, gentle. Do not bleach. Damp dry only, then hang to dry.  Little or no ironing required. Ring Lace is either 100% polyester or 67% polyester & 33% cotton.

Enjoy - Your Macrame Ring Lace will last for many years.
